Class Description: Using many different features of your sewing machine including quilting 3 layers, easy application of zipper, top stitching, making tube pockets, and finishing with zig zag stitches for a professional finish.
This bag can be made with many different themed fabrics and can have many uses for all ages. This class will provide you with the skills to make many bags for all occasions, for gifts, or enjoy it yourself.
Supply List

Sewing Machine in good working order (bring the manual if you need it)

Sewing machine tool kit (including pins, ripper, scissors, extra machine needles, 50 wgt piecing thread, marking tool, pencil, etc.)

Pencil and notepad for notes

Rotary cutter and ruler 6” x 12”

Zipper foot for your machine

Matching thread for topstitching the outside fabric

2 coordinating fat quarters (outer bag and lining)

2 coordinating fat quarters for pockets

1 fat quarter of muslin for inner lining ( this fabric will not be seen)

20” x 20” piece of cotton batting

1 – 14” zipper to match outer fabric of the bag

Velcro for pockets
-
6” piece of thin ribbon for the zipper pull (optional)

Buttons for decoration (optional)
